The Telegraph exposes the Jehovah’s Witness problem with child sexual abuse

The Jehovah’s Witness leaders asked their readers as far back as 1999 to check how its church was dealing with child sexual abuse, the idea was that people should leave and join them the JW’s if they found out their church had a poor record.

This is the article for your reference Awake 1999 8th of April page 11 Under the heading “parents can do much” cited below. Or follow this link to see it on their website.

Think of the heartbreak of parents who have discovered, too late, that their children have been abused by trusted clergymen, teachers, or even close family members. It would be good for you as a parent to ask yourself, ‘Does my church tolerate or cover up child abuse? Is my religion holding firmly to high moral principles?’ Answers to such questions could help you to make wise choices in protecting your children.

We challenge All current members of the Jehovah’s Witnesses to do just that with their own records on this matter. See for yourself how the Governing Body has done the following.

  • Ignored the problem.
  • Treated sexual abuse victims with great unkindness.
  • Protected paedophiles.
  • Refused to mandate reporting to the police.
  • Hindered the police in their investigations.
  • Have a database of known paedophiles but refuse to allow the authorities access to it.
  • Have paid out Millions in compensation to victims.
  • Have paid out Millions in fines for refusing court orders.
  • Many more if you just look.

Does God really see this group of people as the only true religion when it has this historic known problem?

The links below will give you the truth.
