To Shun or Not to Shun that is the Question?

As a Jehovahs Witness, you must comply with everything, to simply stop agreeing with teaching is not acceptable to them. For example to say that you do not accept that Jesus returned invisibly in 1914 will get you disfellowshiped and shunned by all former members, even though the date 1914 is not in the bible, is never mentioned by any bible character and not even Jesus gave us the date.

We can’t find any scriptural precedent where a bible character that had done wrong including lies, rape, adultery, murder, prostitution, and others were then disowned and shunned by others to the extent that they would have their whole family and community stop speaking to them.

So what principle do Jehovah’s Witnesses follow to come up with their false teaching? As it certainly has no basis in Scripture including Jesus’ own teaching and way of life.

See this ever-growing list of Bible verses that show the practice of shunning that the Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses promote and the regular members follow is not Biblical.
